Sage Proverbe
Okay, bored at work again. Have visited facebook and AOL ridiculous amounts of time.
Decided to post some of my most recent favorite quotes/poems.
"Humility is the most difficult of all virtues to achieve: nothing dies harder than the desire to think well of oneself." -T.S Eliot
"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."
-Emily Dickinson
More than anyone on the earth and i
like you better than everything in the sky
-sunlight and singing welcome your coming
although winter may be everywhere
with such a silence and such a darkness
noone can quite begin to guess
(except my life)the true time of year-
and if what calls itself a world should have
the luck to hear such singing(or glimpse such
sunlight as will leap higher than high
through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each
nearness)everyone certainly would(my
most beautiful darling)believe in nothing but love
-E.E Cummings(from i love you much(most beautiful darling)
"When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.”
-Unknown.

>:(
No fucking sales AT ALL for a week. WTF. I hope I don't get fired.
And Nick is away at school. Therefore, won't hear from him much.
ALSO, I have no car. and no money.
AND Lucy, the Finnish Spitz, ran away yesterday. Spent about half and hour running around trying to catch her.
I hope she's okay and didn't get hit by a car.

Bushisms!
Okay, so i'm at work and I decide to google Bushisms, just for laughs..SO here are my faves:
1."Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream."
2. "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."
3. "They misunderestimated me."
4. "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
5. "Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?"
6. "And they have no disregard for human life." --George W. Bush, on the brutality of Afghan fighters
7. "I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office."
8. "I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands." --George W. Bush, on how he can contribute to the Middle East peace process,
9. "One of my concerns is that the health care not be as good as it can possibly be."
HAHAHAHAHAHA.

50 years! and Lucy: The Finnish Spitz
The past few days were hectic! On the 21st, it was my anniversary with Nicky, the 22nd was Nick's birthday, and the 23rd was Nick's grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Phew! Right now, I'm at work (my first Sunday working) and I'm waiting for somebody (anybody!) to come by and buy a program.
In the meantime, I'm doing a little online research to find the breed of this dog my family found yesterday. The dog(a girl by the way) has very foxish features so I decided to focus on that. SO I googled "dog with fox features" and came upon a breed named "Finnish Spitz". I think it's a match. Lucy (the name I gave her) seems like a sweet dog, but I'm hoping her owners will respond to the flyers we put up. She doesn't get along well with my other dog, Mr. Patas, so there's no way we can keep her...
Last night was wonderful. The whole romance of the night was amazing. Imagine, 50 years with someone. That's more than Nick's and my age combined. It was very endearing to see a couple together after so many years. I hope I get to have that someday. Also, I must say, Nick's family has very good genes. Both his grandma and grandpa were quite the lookers. That's probably why Nick is such a cutie.

Idealism
Okay, so according to the Keirsey Temperament Sorter(which I had to take for my Psych of Adjustment course) , I'm an idealist...
Idealists are enthusiastic, they trust their intuition, yearn for romance, seek their true self, prize meaningful relationships, and dream of attaining wisdom.
Idealists pride themselves on being loving, kindhearted, and authentic.
Idealists tend to be giving, trusting, spiritual, and they are focused on personal journeys and human potentials.
Idealists make intense mates, nurturing parents, and inspirational leaders.
Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development. Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self -- always this quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement drives their imagination. And they want to help others make the journey. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.
Idealists are sure that friendly cooperation is the best way for people to achieve their goals. Conflict and confrontation upset them because they seem to put up angry barriers between people. Idealists dream of creating harmonious, even caring personal relations, and they have a unique talent for helping people get along with each other and work together for the good of all. Such interpersonal harmony might be a romantic ideal, but then Idealists are incurable romantics who prefer to focus on what might be, rather than what is. The real, practical world is only a starting place for Idealists; they believe that life is filled with possibilities waiting to be realized, rich with meanings calling out to be understood. This idea of a mystical or spiritual dimension to life, the "not visible" or the "not yet" that can only be known through intuition or by a leap of faith, is far more important to Idealists than the world of material things.
Highly ethical in their actions, Idealists hold themselves to a strict standard of personal integrity. They must be true to themselves and to others, and they can be quite hard on themselves when they are dishonest, or when they are false or insincere. More often, however, Idealists are the very soul of kindness. Particularly in their personal relationships, Idealists are without question filled with love and good will. They believe in giving of themselves to help others; they cherish a few warm, sensitive friendships; they strive for a special rapport with their children; and in marriage they wish to find a "soulmate," someone with whom they can bond emotionally and spiritually, sharing their deepest feelings and their complex inner worlds.
Idealists are relatively rare, making up no more than 15 to 20 percent of the population. But their ability to inspire people with their enthusiasm and their idealism has given them influence far beyond their numbers.
Gandhi was an idealist. Hehehe, this makes me feel pretty awesome about myself :)
